A partir desse momento, abri caminho, limpei, descalcei-me, despi a alma e entreguei-me a um sonho.

ABOUT THIS PROJECT
In 2013, I felt an intense call and followed a strong impulse that shook my core. I wanted to find myself close to Earth, to feel the ground, to root. The lovely piece of land I now call "my little piece of paradise" found its way to me two years later. The Center of Portugal would be my home, my responsibility. To own Earth is to care, to love, to learn the language of humility. From that moment, I opened the way, cleaned, took off my shoes, undressed my soul and gave myself to a dream.
On the 15th of the warmest October in Portugal to this day, that dream was violently rammed. A fire of proportions never seen in this corner of the world (and, most likely, in the European space) transfigured the country and left indelible marks in the collective memory. The paradise, once green and luxuriant, was dressed in a gray, brown and black cloak. The landscape in thousands upon thousands of acres around now tells a monochromatic story. More diverse, however, are the accounts of people who have experienced all this immensity, not through a television or computer screen, but on the ground, in the fragility of the first person, fighting, breathing in, running away, crying. The support was scarce, the means were, in most cases, their own. This part of the country lived what resembled Armageddon. It has been hours that have become an eternity that is the heritage of our life. Today, months later, the ways of the conversations lead us uncontested to the events of that day. Like if it were yesterday.
This blog tells what really happened in these 24 hours, what changed forever in our interior landscape. So that no story is left untold. So that nothing remains forgotten.
